CV

I am currently a postdoctoral research fellow at University of Alberta, Edmonton (Canada) in the group of Dr. Erik Rosolowsky. In April 2014, I completed my PhD studies at the Max Planck Institute for Astronomy, Heidelberg (Germany).

The aim of my research is to better understand the mass distribution and dark matter content of galaxies through detailed dynamical modeling of their observed surface brightness and two-dimensional kinematics. To do this I make a large use of integral-field spectroscopic data (SAURON and CALIFA) and application of two dynamical approaches – Asymmetric Drift Correction and axisymmetric Jeans models.

Hereafter, I wish to expand my modeling expertise to galaxies with an exotic nature (e.g., interacting galaxies) using recent and new observations to explain their mass distribution and dynamical evolution.
